Creating safe stands for business

As we prepare to deliver Imbibe Live there are some changes for our exhibitors to be aware of, to ensure we all create and maintain safe environments to do business.

What to expect at Imbibe Live 2021

At Imbibe Live, we are all about connecting people, and so the health and safety of our visitors, exhibitors and staff are of the utmost priority. Our team are working closely with local authorities to implement all necessary precautions to go ahead with a face-to-face event this year. We will continue to update you on the specifics as and when we get more information.

At the same time, we are working hard to ensure robust safety measures are in place, measures that prioritise safety whilst creating an environment in which your business can thrive and the industry can reunite. Here’s how Imbibe Live could look this year:

Stay Safe Guidelines

Information for anyone who will be present at the event. Learn about our increased hygiene measures and medical safeguarding. (Event health and safety precautionary guidelines are subject to change as directed by the local authorities.)

COVID Status

All attendees will now need to demonstrate proof of COVID-19 status for entry to the event. This will need to be one of the following:

  • Proof of completion of a full course of vaccination two weeks prior to arrival.
  • Proof of a negative lateral Flow Test or PCR result taken within 48hrs of arrival.
  • Proof of natural immunity shown by a positive PCR test result for COVID-19, lasting for 180 days from the date of the positive test and following completion of the self-isolation period.

You will  need to present a text, email or pass to verify your COVID status upon arrival (or alternative recognised proof). For further details on COVID passes please visit Attendees will also be asked to check-in each day via the venue NHS Test & Trace QR code.

Enclosed stands

We recommend open stand designs which allow good ventilation and space for people to move freely. If enclosing larger areas of the stand, your Health & Safety documentation must demonstrate that it meets current stand build regulations.


Demonstrations are permitted if measures have been put in place to reduce or eliminate transmission risks.  You must have Health & Safety Documentation including COVID 19, which shows how this area will be monitored and controlled.

Meeting rooms

Small enclosed meeting rooms are not practical at this time. You are permitted to use open meeting spaces provided across the show floor. These spaces will be regularly cleaned.

Cleaning & hygiene

You must provide hand sanitiser and/or hand washing facilities within the stand design. All high touch points should be cleaned regularly with appropriate cleaning materials during build,  show open and breakdown.

Food & drink sampling

Sampling of alcohol and food will be permitted at the event, in line with the usual food hygiene regulations; please consult the Exhibitor Manual for more information. If planning alcohol or food sampling, consider doing this in a ‘sampling area’ within your stand space where visitors can sample your products comfortably away from the aisles.

Promotional material

We encourage you to review your promotional material (e.g. product brochures and giveaways), and consider other more sustainable, non-contact methods to distribute information. Find out more about how we are using Emperia for safe sharing of information at our events.
