Everyone knows that cider and perry pair well with cheese – think of the Ploughmans for starters – but how do they fare against the more famous wine or beer pairings? Join Gabe Cook, cider director at The Beer & Cider Academy, and cheesemonger and podcaster for The Guild of Fine Food, Cellarman (Sam Wilkin), as they seek to find out. While Sam chooses the cheese, James Forbes, co-founder of boutique cidery Little Pomona and chair of the Three Counties Cider & Perry Association selects ciders and perries to pitch against beer wrangler Jonny Tyson and wine expert Jane Parkinson.
