1968 White Rum

1968 White Rum

1968 White Rum is a UK first, being produced from sugar cane juice from Costa Ric, NOT molasses. The juice is turned into a sirop at the distillery, then fermented for three-four weeks and distilled twice to produce an exceptionally smooth and beautifully balanced floral white rum. Great in naked cocktails or simply over ice.

Here we lovingly distil Fort Gin, using key botanicals that grow within the Fort - gorse flower, elderflower and sea radish - alongside twelve other hand selected botanicals. We are also making a UK first - a 1968 White Rum from sugar cane juice imported from Costa Rica, from which we create a sirop which we then ferment for four weeks before distilling it twice. The 1968 Rum is the basis for our world first - Cinnabar Spiced Rum, where instead of infusing the spices, we distil them, making for a unique fresher and more refined style of spirit which is neither overly sweet or cloying. You will also get the chance to be the first people in the world to try our Forum Garden Rum - something completely new to get the industry really talking.....and what a conversation it will be!
