Catawba Brewing was founded in 1999 by the Pyatt family of Western North Carolina. Catawba operates three breweries and four tasting rooms as of Spring 2017. The company’s 30-barrel production brewery and tasting room is located in the heart of Morganton, NC. In Asheville, NC, Catawba runs a 7-barrel experimental brewhouse and tasting room that is the heart of the company’s barrel-aging and sour programs. Catawba’s latest expansion into Charlotte, North Carolina, in May 2017 saw the introduction of a 13,000+ square foot facility with English-inspired open fermentation vessels featuring glass front fermentors.
Catawba produces over 100+ unique beers each year including: White Zombie White Ale, Mother Trucker Pale Ale, HOPness Monster IPA, Farmer Ted’s Cream Ale, Astral Bootie Beer, and Peanut Butter Jelly Time. Their products are found in eco-friendly cans and kegs across five southeastern U.S. states. Catawba Brewing is proud to be one of the “older guys” in this burgeoning craft beer market.
Home to Beer City USA and more than 200 craft brewers, North Carolina has become a beer lover’s paradise. Be sure to stop by the North Carolina pavilion at Imbibe Live 2017 to get a taste of some of the best beers from the South.
