Speaker - Christine Huff
After studying in Geisenheim University and completing several internships (Rheinhessen, Württemberg, Burgundy), Christine Huff took over the winemaking in the family run winery in 2010. In 2012 her husband Jeremy Bird-Huff from New Zealand joined her.
Ekkehard Huff uses his expertise in the vineyards and the tool shed. Doris Huff cares for the customers. The youngest generation, Philippa and Olivia, great-grandma Margret and German Shorthaired Pointer Diva provide great entertainment.
The estate owns 8 hectares of land in Nierstein and Schwabsburg, an area known for its quality wines. Steep slopes, red soil and limestone are the characteristics of the vineyards Schloss Schwabsburg, Pettenthal, Orbel and Paterberg, producing superb Rieslings, Pinots and the local hero Scheurebe.
The Huffs work with their heart, their hands and respect for nature and therefore use neither mineral fertilizer, herbicides or animal/chemical fining agents.
'We allow our wines to tell you their story.'
