Uncle Val's

There was no shortage of product launches, new faces and rebrands at Kensington Olympia this 3 and 4 July. One company that said Imbibe Live was a great place to start trading was Artisan Spirits Company; run by a husband and wife team focused on representing small batch producers around the world.

The company, whose range will join Hammonds of Knutsford’s agency portfolio, say Imbibe Live was ‘a great opportunity to meet on-trade customers’ and that they received excellent feedback at the show.

‘People were really excited about the ancillary products we had,’ said company director Damian Egan, commenting on the interest shown in the flavoured salts, sugars and spices available alongside the company’s liquid offerings.

‘Visitors were seeing products and flavours at the show which were unique and from there we were able to introduce them to the rest of our range,’ he added.

The biggest hit amongst visitors in terms of the Artisan Spirits Company’s spirit portfolio was Uncle Val’s botanical gin. Egan said those who tasted were drawn to the soft cucumber on the nose, followed by a floral explosion of lavender and balanced complexity, which didn’t give away the gin’s robust abv of 45%.
