A top quality, sugar-free artisanal coffee liqueur, distributed independently by bike? If you think the idea has east London written all over it, you’re absolutely right.

Coming straight outta Hackney, it could only be the new Imbibe Live exhibitor, Cold&Blac. The producer, which promises us it’s bringing ‘one of the most beautiful stands at the show’ specialises in cold-processed coffee liqueur, inspired by an old Ethiopian recipe.

Launched in 2015, the brand has already had an impact, winning over tasters with its rich, chocolaty aroma, bitter-sweet essence of berries and spice and prominent notes of coffee and natural caramels, buzzing with subtle zest and lingering depth.

It was recently feature at the BBC Good Food Show, and has been filmed for a documentary on promising British start-ups, with Karen Brady, which will air in 2018.

Cold&Blac looks like it has a great future ahead – but don’t take our word for it. Get down to the stand and try it for yourselves.
