Returning visitors may well know that the sun always shines during Imbibe Live. Fact. Fortunately, award-winning wine importer Buckingham Schenk hasn’t forgotten this, and is bringing the good vibes inside, hosting a two-day garden party at stand B63.
Imbibe Live is delighted to announce that the leading brand will be back, showcasing a selection of what’s hot and happening from its wine list.
Buckingham Schenk will be focusing on a range of wines that can bring something special to an on-trade list. Particular highlights include Amayna Barrel-Fermented Sauvignon Blanc from Chile’s Leyda Valley, Te Awanga Pinot Gris from New Zealand producer Rod McDonald in Hawkes Bay and a Spanish Tempranillo Rosé from Bodegas Otazu in Navarra.
It has evolved over the last year, with a 54% increase in its portfolio in 2016, going from 90 to 139 wines. The wine list focuses on the company’s core strengths as part of the Schenk Wine Group which gives it direct access to a fantastic range of wineries across Europe. Other wineries on show include: Bodegas Larchago (Spain), Cellers Unió (Spain), Hauller (Alsace), Lunadoro (Italy), Phebus (Argentina), Pipers Brook (Australia), Querceto (Italy), Rock Ferry Wines (New Zealand) and Schenk Italian Wineries.
‘After a great time at Imbibe Live last year, we are well prepared for this show with some really fantastic wines which we believe will be an asset to any on-trade list,’ said Craig Durham, managing director at Buckingham Schenk.
‘We are very aware that this is a highly competitive sector but Imbibe Live is a great platform for us to show our strengths and we are looking forward to another successful event.’
