Fresh new Hampshire-based bitters company Bitter Union will be exhibiting for the first time this year at Imbibe Live, bringing three delicious varieties to the table.
The artisan producer run by husband and wife team, Tom and Lucy Moore, makes bitters on a small scale with 100% natural ingredients: just botanicals and fruit, macerated in good quality alcohol. Tom and Lucy craft all their bitters by hand in their country kitchen, hand-peeling all their citrus from fresh so the maximum amount of essential oils – and flavour – ends up in the finished product. No.1 Aromatic has notes of sour cherry, vanilla, cinnamon and clove on a bourbon base, whilst Spiced Orange is flavoured with orange, ginger, star anise and cardamom. Finally the self-descriptive Lemon, Hops & Herbs is completed with lemon grass and adds a delicate, floral touch.
'At Bitter Union we want people to Rethink their Drink and realise that drinks are better with bitters! Cocktail bitters have typically been the preserve of mixologists but we want to help people become more creative – our bitters are all great as an added element in a G&T or even with soft drinks for a super-low alcohol drink which is botanical and low in sugar,' said Tom.
'We're excited to be attending Imbibe Live and being able to showcase our little artisan brand which is made by hand in small batches.'
