Delegate Profile

Danielle Whitehead

I have worked in the wine industry for around 13 years having first joined the trade in 2005, as many do, with Majestic Wines on their Graduate Management Training Scheme. Since then my wine career has been very varied & adventurous taking me in lots of different directions and to many fantastic wine regions throughout the world. As a result of my ever-growing thirst for wine knowledge, I studied for my WSET Diploma during my time at Majestic Wines. It was my enjoyment of the production element of the course that ultimately led me to find out about Plumpton College and embark upon their BSc Viticulture & Oenology Degree. The three years that I spent at Plumpton College were invaluable as I gained such a wealth of technical wine knowledge and also got to study with many incredible wine professionals who have gone on to do great things in the wine industry. Shortly after completing my degree, I carried out a vintage in California and once back in the UK joined distributor, Hallgarten Druitt & Novum wines as a New World Brand Manager. I worked here for around three years before embarking on a similar role at Enotria & Coe, which I held until recently when I joined Plumpton College as their new Wine Brand Manager.
