Jérôme Jacoillot hosting Krug Champagne Blending Masterclass at Imbibe Live
Krug has been synonymous with prestige Champagnes since 1843 and Imbibe Live is delighted to announce that Jérôme Jacoillot, winemaker at Krug, will be hosting an exclusive masterclass for visitors this year.
Jacoillot joined Krug in June 2013 and is in charge of Clos D'Ambonnay and the Clos du Mesnil during the harvest. He's also part of Krug’s Tasting Committee, led by Chef de Caves Eric Lebel.
After stuying for a degree in Viticulture and Enology, he joined familial and famous Maisons winemaking team in Champagne; first with Champagne Pierlot-Fils, then with Moët & Chandon. During this first experience, he worked with renowned winemakers and growers who transmitted him their passion for fine-tuning, respect of terroir and sense of detail.
Jacoillot has experience from around the world from California where he participated in the 2012 harvest and played with Burgundy and Bordeaux grapes in the Napa Valley, to France, where he worked for a small Organic Champagne House to learn how we can preserve the environment.
This fascinating session forms part of an exciting line-up of wine sessions taking place this year. Stay tuned for more...
